Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for the provision of health care services to individuals, families, and/or groups who receive their care under the auspices of Sentara. Health care services include conducting health assessments, prescribing/providing treatments/interventions, promoting health, and providing disease prevention and management. Health care services are provided under the direction and supervision of assigned primary care physician (collaborative agreement). The Nurse Practitioner is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in team activities, and use resources (human and material) appropriately.

\n36 patient hours per week, Alternating hours between Richmond Community Care and Henrico Mobile, 4 hours of Admin.

\nMaster's Level Degree- Nurse Practitioner
\n \nCertification/Licensure
\nOne of the following certifications qualifies:
\nRegistered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
\nOR
\nRegistered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
\nOR
\nRegistered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
\nOR
\nRegistered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
\nAND
\nOne of the following certifications qualifies:
\nAdvanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
\nOR
\nLicensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
\nBLS (Required)
\nACLS (Preferred)
\nExperience
\n2-3 years of minimum NP experience required
\nPeds Experience Required
