Position Title: Pathologist
\nDepartment: Laboratory Medicine / Pathology
Location: Ashtabula, Ohio
Employment Type: Ideally FT but possibly PT for the right fit
Position Summary
\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team. The Pathologist a of solo practice will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic services, including the evaluation of surgical specimens, cytology, and clinical laboratory data. This role plays a critical part in delivering accurate diagnoses that directly impact patient care and clinical decision-making, while serving as the CLIA Lab Director
\nKey Responsibilities

- Examine and diagnose tissue samples, body fluids, and other specimens using standard laboratory techniques \n
- Interpret and report findings in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and/or clinical pathology within established turnaround times. \n
- Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, oncologists, and other clinicians to guide patient care \n
- Participate in tumor boards, case conferences, and interdisciplinary meetings \n
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, etc.) \n
- Provide consultation and guidance to laboratory staff and clinicians \n
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs within the laboratory \n
- Lead departmental quality improvement and operational performance initiatives \n
- Serve as Medical Director for multiple CLIA waived off site location laboratories \n
Qualifications
\nRequired
\n- \n
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) \n
- Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) \n
- Valid, unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio \n
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and communication skills \n

- Prior experience in a hospital or integrated health system setting \n
- Experience with digital pathology and laboratory informatics systems \n
