Job Overview:
\n Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking experienced Concrete Finishers for an active site development project at a school facility. This position involves finishing concrete for sidewalks, curbs, walkways, and other exterior concrete structures. Candidates must be skilled in all phases of hand-finishing concrete and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, quality workmanship, and adherence to strict safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

\n
• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete for sidewalks, curbs, gutters, walkways, and other site concrete applications.
\n
• Perform all concrete finishing activities by hand, including screeding, edging, jointing, floating, broom finishing, and troweling.
\n
• Shape and finish concrete surfaces to specified grades, elevations, and project requirements.
\n
• Install and maintain control joints, expansion joints, and finished edges.
\n
• Check concrete for proper consistency and workability during placement and finishing operations.
\n
• Assist with concrete pours, formwork adjustments, and site preparation as needed.
\n
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while ensuring high-quality workmanship throughout the project.
\n
• Follow project specifications, construction drawings, and supervisor instructions.
\n
• Adhere to all company, site-specific, and OSHA safety regulations.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum of 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
\n
• Proven experience finishing sidewalks, curbs, and other exterior flatwork.
\n
• Strong knowledge of hand-finishing techniques and concrete placement procedures.
\n
• Ability to achieve smooth, broom, and specialty finishes as required.
\n
• Experience working with screeds, hand floats, edgers, jointers, trowels, and other finishing tools.
\n
• Ability to work efficiently in outdoor construction environments and varying weather conditions.
\n
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a construction crew.
\n
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
\n

Requirements:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check due to work being performed on school property.
\n
• Must provide basic concrete finishing hand tools.
\n

Work Environment:
