Maintenance Technician - Second or Third Shift (Cambria)
Job Description
Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for full-time Second (2nd) and 3rd Shift Maintenance Technicians! As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform the maintenance of large production machinery while maintaining records of repairs.
\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines \n
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary \n
- Lubricates machines to ensure effective performance \n
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts to be ordered \n
- Installs replacement parts for machines \n
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines \n
- Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently \n
- Use of CMMS for documenting work performed \n
- Maintains a clean, organized, store room, and maintains shop areas, tools, and supplies \n
- Coordinates with manager to schedule regular maintenance on machines \n
- Collaborates with Maintenance manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required \n
- Makes necessary modifications and testing equipment; confers with production manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required \n
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned \n
Education and Experience:
\n- \n
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required. \n

\n2nd Shift - 2:30pm-11:00pm/3:30pm-12:00am
\n3rd shift - 10:30pm-7:00am
\nSalary: $27.00-$34.00 per hour depending on experience (plus shift premium)
\nWork Location: Friesland, WI

- Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record \n

- Ability to utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software \n
- Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software \n
Physical and Environmental Demands:
\n- \n
- Prolonged periods standing and walking \n
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery \n
- Must be able to visually inspect machines \n
- Must be able to climb ladders when needed \n
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds \n
- Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas \n
- Exposure to airborne particles or fumes \n
- Perform repairs at heights greater than 20 feet \n
- Ability to withstand cold and warm working conditions \n
