\nSummit Skilled Solutions is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This role requires a safety-focused professional who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of HVAC equipment while working in a fast-paced team environment.
\nThe ideal candidate will have experience servicing air handling systems and related equipment, with the ability to analyze system performance and ensure optimal operation.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of HVAC systems including: \n
- \n
- Air Conditioning Units (ACUs) \n
- Air Handling Units (AHUs) \n
- Heat Pumps \n
- Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems \n
- Direct Digital Controls (DDC) \n
- Ventilation systems \n
\n - Conduct routine inspections, system testing, and operational monitoring to ensure peak performance \n
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, control sequences, and service manuals \n
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and ensure proper system functionality \n
- Operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, gauges, and charging systems using best practices \n
- Perform brazing, lubrication, and general mechanical maintenance \n
- Diagnose system issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions \n
- Document all service activities, including repairs, findings, and recommendations for future work \n
- Maintain accurate logs including: \n
- \n
- Equipment operation logs \n
- Refrigerant records \n
- Filter and belt inventory \n
- Preventative maintenance documentation \n
\n - Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition \n
- Order necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs \n
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and support major repair projects \n
- Utilize CMMS systems to track work orders and maintenance activities \n
Safety & Compliance
\n- \n
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards \n
- Utilize proper PPE and follow safe work practices at all times \n
- Complete Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) prior to performing work \n
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations \n
- Maintain awareness of emergency equipment and procedures \n
Additional Responsibilities

- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service \n
- Attend manufacturer (OEM) training sessions and professional development courses \n
- Complete timesheets and required documentation accurately and on time \n
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients \n
QualificationsEducation
\n- \n
- High School Diploma or equivalent required \n
- 2-year HVAC technical certification or state-approved HVAC license preferred \n
Experience
\n- \n
- Proven experience working on commercial and/or industrial HVAC systems \n
- Experience with chillers, boilers, and chilled water systems is a plus \n
Licenses & Certifications
\n- \n
- Valid drivers license required \n
- EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification required \n
Technical Skills
\n- \n
- Experience with CMMS systems required (Corrigo preferred) \n
- Proficiency using mobile devices (tablets, smartphones) for work management \n
Language Skills
\n- \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills \n
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals \n
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus \n
