GYNECOLOGICAL ONCOLOGIST & Faculty Member

The physician will deliver a range of professional services for the hospital, including the following responsibilities:

1. Maintain scheduled office hours at the Women’s Health & Wellness Center. Responsibilities include:
   • Conducting comprehensive history and physical examinations, consultations, colposcopic assessments, and other office-based evaluations and treatments for patients.
   • Recommending treatments or referrals for additional services as necessary.
   • Providing post-operative care and routine follow-up examinations.
   • Issuing written reports to referring physicians regarding consultative services and follow-ups.
   • Documenting required information in the office medical records to ensure accurate billing.
   • Completing office billing with the appropriate level of service, procedures (if applicable), and diagnoses.
   • Accepting all patients for medical management, treatment, and surgical procedures, irrespective of their payer status or financial capability.
   • Offering coverage for emergency situations to ensure continuity of patient care.
   • Performing surgeries as indicated.
   • Managing both inpatient and outpatient adjuvant therapies for patients as required.
   • Providing inpatient coverage, rounding, consultations, and care for assigned patients as scheduled.
2. Engaging in Performance Improvement initiatives related to gynecologic oncology patients.
3. Supervising and educating Obstetrics and Gynecology residents and other medical students during their clinical rotations in gynecologic oncology.
4. Carrying out additional clinical and administrative tasks as assigned by the Chair.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The physician will oversee care for patients referred for treatment, as well as residents, medical students, and other educational groups in a clinical setting. Coordination of care and services will be conducted in collaboration with patients’ primary care physicians or referring specialists.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology that is accredited.
• Completion of a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology.
• Licensure and registration as a physician in the state of New York.
