24hr In-House Obstetrics Hospitalist Locums in Virginia

Our organization is in search of an obstetrics hospitalist physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a facility in Virginia. This position entails 24-hour on-call responsibilities, with assistance from fellow obstetricians, general surgeons, and emergency medicine specialists.

• Certification Requirements: Must be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology; certification in electronic fetal monitoring is mandatory.
• License Requirements: A valid Virginia medical license is necessary.
• Patient Volume: The facility handles approximately 72 deliveries each month.
• Setting: The role is based in a labor and delivery unit.
• Schedule: The position requires 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Support Staff:
  • Access to backup from other obstetricians, general surgeons, and emergency medicine professionals.
  • In-house anesthesia services are available around the clock.
• Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Providing coverage for labor and delivery.
  • Handling only emergent gynecological cases.
