Responsibilities:

  Staff Supervision:

  \n
  • Oversee and mentor histotechnologists, histology technicians, and support staff.
  \n
  • Schedule and assign tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training and professional development opportunities.

  Quality Control and Assurance:

  \n
  \n
  • Ensure high standards of quality control and quality assurance in all laboratory procedures.
  \n
  • Develop, implement, and monitor protocols for tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
  \n
\n
• \n

  Operational Management:

  \n
  \n
  • Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample accessioning, processing, and documentation.
  \n
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  \n
\n
• \n

  Regulatory Compliance:

  \n
  \n
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those set by OSHA, CLIA, CAP, and other relevant agencies.
  \n
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for inspections and audits.
  \n
\n

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Science.
\n
• ASCP certification or equivalent.
\n
• Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

• Histology experience.
\n
• Histology leadership experience preferred.
\n
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
\n
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
\n
