Palm Health Resources is hiring experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in Syracuse, NY!

Seeking ongoing weekend coverage for either 12 or 24 hour shifts! Paid Mal Practice, Housing, Rental Car or Mileage, Flight/Travel and MUCH MORE!

Practice Setting: NICU Level III

\n

Dates of Coverage: Would like to start someone around August or ASAP!

\n

Shift: Seeking reliable weekend coverage for 12 and/or 24 hour shifts.

\n

How Many Neonatologists in Your Group? 3

\n

How Many Pediatricians in Your Group? only pediatricians are our current neonatologists

\n

How Many Pediatric Mid-Levels in Your Group? 6 plus 1 per diem

\n

Will Other Neonatologists Provide Coverage During Locums Coverage Dates?:Â no we have 3 full-time neonatologists

\n

Will the Locums be Responsible for Supervising Other Health Care Providers? Yes, RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff as needed, but no other NNPs

\n

Describe Support Staff: Neonatologist present during the day and on call available 24 hours otherwise

\n

Number of Exam Rooms:Â 16 bed unit

\n

Average Number of Admissions Per Day:Â 0-2 average per shift

\n

Total Number of Beds:Â 16 bed NICU unit coverage with coverage for well baby problems only during nightshift

\n

NICU Level: Level III

\n

Is the Locum Tenens Physician Required to Attend C-Sections? Yes

\n

Is the Locum Tenens Physician Required to Cover the Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery? Yes

\n

Is the Locum Tenens Physician Required to Transfer Neonates? No

\n

Describe Referral/Transfer Protocol: No transport requirement with this position. Regional center with Level IV NICU is only about 5 mins away and they manage all transports in the region.

Average Number of Patients Per Day:Â 8-9

\n

Neonatal Required Procedures:

\n

            Nursery Level III/NICU

\n

            Ventilation Management

\n

            Invasive (ETT)

\n

            Non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)

\n

            Chest Tube Insertion

\n

            Exchange Transfusions

\n

            UAC/UVC placement, LPs

\n

            Evaluation & Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues

\n

            Insertion of Central Line

\n

            Insertion of Arterial Line

\n

            Diagnostic/Therapeutic Taps

\n

Board Certified - Neonatology/experienced NICU PA - REQUIRED

\n

Active NY License - REQUIRED

\n

Must have experience and be comfortable managing patients independently - REQUIRED
