JOB DESCRIPTION Located where miles of breathtaking ocean views meet dense coastal forests, Adventist Health Mendocino County has a rich history serving community members on the coast since 1971. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and offer a range of services in Fort Bragg. With whale watching, fishing, hiking trails and many more outdoor adventures readily available, this coastal region is a place to immerse yourself in its landscape and history. Job Summary: Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. This position is represented by UFCW. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience:\n

- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Preferred \n
- \n
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists â€" Radiography (ARRT-R): Required \n
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA and HI \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required \n
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA within 6 months of hire \n

- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required \n
- \n
- Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams. \n
- Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician. \n
- Verifies exams on PACS. \n
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned. \n
