\nJOB DESCRIPTION:
\nAn Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist is a specialized healthcare professional trained to assist physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures performed in the radiology department. These technologists play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate execution of various interventional procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, and catheterizations, among others. The IR Technologist is a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who plays a pivotal role in interventional radiology procedures, combining technical expertise with compassionate patient care to facilitate successful outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.
\nCALL: One weekend (Friday evening-Monday morning) and 4 weekdays (Monday-Thursday) every 12 weeks. Set call schedule.
\nEDUCATION:
\n· Graduate from an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
\n· ARRT is required.
\n· Must be licensed in the State of Vermont.
\n· Individual must accumulate 200 exams as outlined by the ARRT and become licensed in the modality by passing the Vascular-Interventional (VI) Radiography certification exam within 24 months of completing orientation.
\n· This position requires verification of your college transcript. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited for an interview.
\nEXPERIENCE:
\nOne year of clinical experience is highly recommended.
