Town Engineer

The Town of Colchester is seeking a highly committed, organized and analytical engineering professional, with exceptional written and oral communication skills to direct and provide engineering and construction management associated with the investigation, design, maintenance and construction of public improvement projects, including wastewater collection, stormwater, public buildings, streets and bike/pedestrian paths. Conducts detailed analysis of all public infrastructure, determines condition, capacity, overall adequacy, and identifies short and long-term capital needs. Develops and advances capital projects through conceptual planning, public engagement, funding and project prioritization. Prepares RFPs and/or RFQs and related bid documents, reviews proposals for award recommendations and manages workflow and relationships with selected consultants and vendors. Responsibilities span project management, consultant oversight, permitting, and field decisions. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a closely related field, and six years of progressively responsible civil engineering and public works or utilities experience, including public interaction and engagement. Excellent technical skills, including MS Office Suite, GIS and other specialized software. Valid driver's license required. Pay DOE with excellent benefits package.

Salary/Compensation: $102,000 - $112,000 per year
