Dayton Childrens Hospital, in Dayton Ohio, is currently recruiting a child and adolescent psychiatrist for our mental health unit and consult service.

\n

This schedule is Weekend-only (0.8 FTE) position, with approximately 5 weekends off annually.

\n

These roles are designed to support a more sustainable, flexible approach to practice while maintaining a strong clinical impact

\n

This opportunity supports staffing for our new free-standing behavioral health building, which will:

  • Double current inpatient capacity
  • \n
  • Expand specialized programming
  • \n
  • Enhance continuity of care by integrating inpatient, outpatient, and crisis services under one roo
  • \n

Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • \n
\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Provide initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management in inpatient and consult settings
  • \n
  • Supervise psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows from Wright State University
  • \n
  • Participate in coverage aligned with role structure (inpatient, consult, and/or weekend coverage depending on position)
  • \n

  • Weekend-only role: consistent weekend coverage model with built-in flexibility and approximately 5 weekends off per year
