\nFairview is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join the multi-specialty practice at M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center Maple Grove. Join a group of physicians interested in staying on the cutting edge of their field and participating in quality improvement committees.
\n\nPractice Details:
\n- \n
- Join a team of 8 physicians, 2 APRN s and 2 Physician Assistant \n
- Surgical cases and deliveries performed at: Maple Grove Hospital. Surgeries are also performed at the CSC-Maple Grove site. \n
- Admitting Hospital: Maple Grove Hospital \n
- Average of 100 deliveries annually per physician. \n
- Average of 20-24 patients per day in clinic \n
- Full time (1.0 FTE) \n
- Schedule details: 4 day clinical work week - includes clinic, surgery, and on-call time \n
- There will be an expectation that physicians will see clinic patients at the Maple Grove Clinic and one additional Fairview community clinic nearby. \n
- Call Coverage: 1:8 shared equally. Maple Grove Hospital is staffed 24/7 by an employed OB Hospitalist program. \n
- Established referral base of Fairview employed primary care and sub -specialty physicians. \n
Responsibilities
- \n
- Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care. \n
- Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care. \n
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients clinical problems and health care needs \n
- Consults with and make appropriate referral(s) to other health care providers in abnormal or unusual cases. Refers within the Fairview network. \n
- Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope. \n
- Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies. \n
- Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service. \n
- Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques. \n
- Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed. \n
- Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service. Participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in designated department. \n
- May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in designated work unit. \n
- Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management \n
- Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows \n
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients \n

Required Qualifications
- \n
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program \n
- Board Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMS \n
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure \n
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota \n
- Meet threshold criteria/qualification for Credentialing and Privileges \n
$359,820 - $399,800 Annual *based on full time (1.0 FTE)
