What You'll Be Doing

\n

In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up and supporting CNC lathe production while helping maintain quality and efficiency throughout the machining process.

\n

Your responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Set up CNC lathes for production
\n
• Install tooling, set offsets, and optimize feeds and speeds
\n
• Load programs and support production changeovers
\n
• Prepare material and workholding for production
\n
• Read blueprints, process sheets, and machining instructions
\n
• Perform close-tolerance machining operations
\n
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and process issues
\n
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
\n
• Monitor tooling wear and maintain tooling inventory
\n
• Make production adjustments to maintain quality and cycle times
\n
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
\n
• Assist and mentor machine operators when needed
\n

What We're Looking ForRequired

\n

• 3–5+ years of CNC setup experience
\n
• CNC lathe setup experience
\n
• Ability to read blueprints and machining documentation
\n
• Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds
\n
• Experience holding close tolerances
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
\n
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
\n
• Ability to work independently while supporting production goals
\n

• Live tooling experience
\n
• Experience with Miyano, Doosan, or Mori Seiki machines

• Experience mentoring operators

• Continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing experience
