Position Overview:
The Wellness Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) plays a crucial role in supporting the Resident Services Director in the effective implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Resident Services Department team, including Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s).
  • Assist in managing the medication program and support residents in self-administering their medications.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
  • Report any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director or Resident Services Director.
  • Assist in completing resident assessments and developing service plans.
  • Support clinical assessments and recertifications in accordance with ALSA requirements.
  • Help the Resident Services Director with hiring and performance management within the department.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of new team members.
  • Engage in scheduled in-service training programs and team meetings.
  • Assist with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to associates in the Resident Services Department as needed.
  • Support residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Assist in supervising RSA staff during care delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Adhere to emergency procedures.
  • Understand and implement safety practices and protocols.

Communication:

  • Effectively communicate with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
  • Promote a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the relevant state(s).
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification.
  • Two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred.
