Job Description
MAJOR FUNCTION:
\nThe Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients seeking urgent medical care, as well as occupational health services. This role includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced clinical environment.
\nMust be willing and able to float between our eight urgent care centers as needed to support staffing and ensure consistent, high-quality care across all locations. Our urgent care centers operate seven days a week. The Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner will work three 12-hour shifts per week, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
\nQUALIFICATIONS:
\nEducation & Experience:
\n- \n
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program \n
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in urgent care or ER preferred \n
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently \n
Certification/ Licensure:
\n- \n
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or current Nurse Practitioner license in NJ \n
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP; if applicable) \n
- Active and unrestricted PA license in NJ \n
- BLS certification \n
- Obtain National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners certification within 6 months of accepting the job \n
