The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, has an immediate opening for a full-time, board-certified/eligible Interventional Cardiologist. You'll enjoy a unique combination of two great American heritages: a little Cajun, and since we're less than 15 minutes from the Texas border, a little Lone Star, too. Candidates must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans. Highlights of this position include:
\nCompetitive Starting Salary $325,000 $390,000
\nWork Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm., may be required to work unscheduled hours in case of an emergency or when on call
\nPerforms inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
\nPerform standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, etc.
\nDuties will include clinical practice, and teaching Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical student
\nPosition includes a faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center commensurate with qualifications
\nMust be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
\nFull and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
\n\n
Board certified at least once in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology
\nExperience in peripheral vascular intervention is preferred. Structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention training desirable
