\nThe Mercy GIG Nursing Program gives you the freedom to pick up shifts that fit your schedule while providing high-quality patient care across our facilities.\n
\n
\nParticipation in the GIG Nursing Program requires nurses to self-schedule a minimum number of hours, maintain flexibility for short-notice staffing needs, and accept the possibility of last-minute shift cancellations. GIG positions do not guarantee hours and are the first positions subject to cancellation.\n

QualificationsRequired Education\n

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

Preferred Education\n

BSN

\n

Licensure\n

Must maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact state licensure and meet all applicable state board of nursing requirements.

Experience\n
    \n
  • \n

    Minimum one (1) year of recent bedside RN experience in Medical-Surgical nursing within the last 3 years.

Certifications\n
    \n
  • \n

    Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • \n
\n

Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • \n

    Epic EMR experience

  • \n
\n

Physical Requirements\n
    \n
  • \n

    Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly

  • \n
  • \n

    Prolonged standing and walking during shifts

  • \n
  • \n

    Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat while performing patient care duties

  • \n
\n
