Position OverviewOur organization is inviting applications for a tenure-ineligible clinical faculty role within the Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in Charlottesville, VA. The selected faculty member will engage in a comprehensive range of general obstetric and gynecologic practices in an academic setting, joining a team of 18 OB/GYN academic specialists and 4 PA/NP clinicians. The division comprises faculty with diverse interests spanning clinical, educational, and leadership domains.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct office-based practices in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Perform gynecologic surgeries and provide staffing for Labor and Delivery, including in-hospital Labor and Delivery call and benign Gyn call coverage.
- Participate in outreach clinics within a 30-mile radius of the Charlottesville campus on a rotating basis.
- Contribute to undergraduate and graduate medical education.
The division maintains robust collaborative relationships with subspecialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, and Menopause, along with Family Planning specialists integrated within the division. There are extensive opportunities to practice in a quaternary care environment, serving a diverse patient population in both Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Qualifications- Must possess an MD or DO degree.
- Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Demonstrated excellent clinical skills and a passion for medical education.
