Job Description

The duties of a Radiology physician include but are not limited to diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and ultrasound
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
\n- \n
- Ability to examine various types of images, including x-rays, computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine and ultrasound \n
- Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions and progress. \n
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. \n
- Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage \n
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards \n
- Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise \n
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment \n
- Effective verbal and written communication skills \n
- Ability to supervise, advice, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise \n
- Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops \n

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
\nPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
\n- \n
- Medical doctor with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty \n
REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
\n- \n
- Federal DEA Certification \n
- Active Medical License in the state of Kansas \n
- Board certified or board eligible in Radiology \n
PREFERRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
\n- \n
- BLS certified \n
