Our organization is currently inviting applications from interested OB/GYN professionals who are looking for a position in one of the rapidly expanding communities along the West Coast of Florida. Established in 1994, our employed medical group has become a leading provider of both primary and specialty healthcare in the area.
This role is situated in the picturesque beach town of Venice, offering both new and seasoned physicians a fantastic chance to join a supportive and growing team consisting of three physician partners and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, all within a friendly work atmosphere for both staff and providers.
The SMH-Venice Hospital, which opened its doors in December 2021, is located on a sprawling 65-acre campus. It features a state-of-the-art 365,000-square-foot facility with five stories, including 212 private patient suites, a 61-bed emergency care center, and 8 surgical suites, equipped with a daVinci XI Robot. The OB/GYN practice is conveniently housed in the adjacent two-story, 60,000-square-foot Medical Office Building.
Within SMH-Venice, there are 10 luxurious LDRPs, 2 C-Section operating rooms, and 4 triage beds. The Level I nursery is capable of accepting patients who are 35 weeks or older, with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner available around the clock. Additionally, SMH-Sarasota, located 17 miles to the north, is the only facility in Sarasota County offering a Level III NICU.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct 8 patient-facing sessions weekly (equivalent to 4 clinic days) with scheduled operating room time.
Manage an average of 20 patients daily in the clinic.
Deliver outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care.
Perform C-Sections and various gynecologic surgeries/procedures.
Share equitable call coverage, allowing you to deliver and round on your own patients.
Benefit from a dedicated OB Hospitalist group providing 24/7 coverage for unassigned patients.
Access to 24/7 anesthesia coverage, with a team of three OB Fellowship-Trained Anesthesiologists.
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
Completion of a certified residency program in OBGYN.
Possession of an active or eligible Florida medical license.
Board Certified or Board Eligible status.
