Director of Nursing (DON)

A healthcare organization in the Glens Falls area is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations and lead a dedicated nursing team. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily nursing department operations
\n
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff and department managers
\n
• Ensure quality care standards are consistently maintained
\n
• Manage staffing coordination, scheduling oversight, and clinical support
\n
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of nursing personnel
\n
• Monitor compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
\n
• Participate in quality improvement and operational initiatives
\n
• 1 year of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
\n
• Address clinical concerns and support effective patient care delivery
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Active RN license in New York State
\n
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
\n
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
\n
• Strong clinical knowledge and organizational skills
\n
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
\n
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
\n
