Hematologist Oncologist | Inpatient | 7 on / 7 Off Shift | Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center
\nBaptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is hiring an Inpatient Hematologist/Oncologist in Jacksonville, FL. As a physician with Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, you will be heard and respected for your expertise.
\nThis Hematologist Oncologist will join 2 other Hematologist Oncologist in our Oncohospitalist program.
\nThe Oncohospitalist Program

- These Hematologist Oncologists are supported fully with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants around the clock. \n
- Since adding this program, our 2 Onchospitalists have provided exceptional care for many patients in the Southeast. \n
- Patient satisfaction and continuity of care have improved significantly. \n
- In fact, our patients prefer Oncohospitalists so they do not have to explain their full story, and have a physician that understands them. \n
- The Oncohospitalists do not have to build a patient panel, but will handle hematology/ oncology consults, and care for patients on active chemotherapy. \n
- There is palliative care support, so they do not attend all hospice meetings. \n

- As part of this program, you will have the luxury of working a 7 on / 7 off shift twice a month. \n
- We provide leadership opportunities within Cancer Medicine (including roles in programmatic development, research and quality). \n
- You will be recommended for adjunct academic appointment at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Be eligible for or board-certified in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology with a record of clinical and academic achievement. \n
- Clinical research experience and prior educational activities are preferred. \n
- MD/DO \n
- Active or unrestricted medical license in Florida. \n
