Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
\nLocation: Burlington, VT area
\nA health care organization in Northern Vermont is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its hospital laboratory team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
\n • Perform routine and high-complexity diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory sections
\n • Process and evaluate specimens in accordance with established procedures
\n • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and systems
\n • Perform quality control, maintenance, and regulatory compliance activities
\n • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of patient results
\n • Support workflow across departments during varying workload demands
\n • Participate in training and support of new staff and students when needed
Qualifications
\n • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field
\n • Eligibility for or possession of a Vermont Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
\n • MLS certification required within 6 months of hire (ASCP preferred)
\n • Hospital laboratory experience preferred
\n • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-complexity environment
\n • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
