Position Summary and Qualifications

Registered Nurses are responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. They work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, conducting assessments, creating personalized care plans, administering medications, maintaining documentation, educating patients, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Monitoring, documenting, and reporting any changes in patients' conditions while keeping precise and thorough records.
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Exhibiting knowledge of human growth and development, assessment techniques, treatment options, and care tailored to the age of patients.
• Promoting customer service initiatives within the hospital.
• Applying the nursing process to provide individualized care that meets patients' needs.
• Demonstrating proficiency in performing technical skills and procedures.

Qualifications Required:

• Current RN licensure from the TN Board of Nursing or a compact state Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS certifications to be obtained within one year of employment.
• CPI certification to be completed within six months of employment.
• A minimum of one year of RN experience is required.
• Experience in the Emergency Room is preferred.

Parkridge East Hospital is a facility with over 120 beds located in East Ridge, offering a wide array of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics and robotic surgery. Our Emergency Department operates 24/7 and is recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. We also provide obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures, along with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staffed by specialized providers, including neonatologists, neonatal nurses, and respiratory therapists available around the clock.
