Job Opportunity: Body or Neuroradiologist

Our organization, in collaboration with a prominent health system, is looking for a full-time Body or Neuroradiologist. The hospital is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center located in the culturally rich borough of Queens, NY. Our radiology team consists of a dedicated and knowledgeable group of radiologists, technologists, nurses, and support staff.

The radiology department is equipped with:

  • 4 CT scanners
  • 1 MRI machine
  • A new Siemens biplane interventional suite, part of our innovative stroke program
Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role include:

  • Interpreting diagnostic studies, focusing on cross-sectional imaging such as CT, ultrasound, and MRI
  • Working daytime shifts from Monday to Friday
  • Participating in minimal on-call duties, which include several weekend shifts throughout the year
  • Exploring moonlighting opportunities during evenings and weekends

This position is a unique opportunity, as turnover within the radiology department is exceptionally low, with many radiologists remaining at the facility for decades. Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Radiology
  • Valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A solid work ethic and a commitment to teamwork within a health system
Additional Information

We also provide a faculty appointment with the affiliated medical school, which will be based on the candidate's credentials, experience, and qualifications.

Compensation

The salary for this full-time position is structured as follows:

  • Board Eligible: $425,000
  • Board Certified: $450,000
  • Board Certified with ACGME Fellowship: $475,000
