Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) is responsible for performing both routine and advanced laboratory tests in areas such as toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Join our team of committed professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic tests across various laboratory sections.
  • Deliver precise results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood banking, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and other specified areas.
  • Ensure quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment using approved testing methods, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to quality control protocols.

Qualifications Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science or a related field is required, or you must be “Grandfathered” as a medical technologist under CLIA 88.
  • Certification as MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP), or relevant certifications such as BB(ASCP), C(ASCP), I(ASCP), H(ASCP), or M(ASCP) is required, or you must be eligible for registry/certification.
  • Registry/certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
