Opportunity Overview:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
  • Location: Grand Rapids, MI
  • Specialization: Neuro-Critical Care

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with board-certified critical care specialists to spearhead the establishment of a neuro-critical care program aimed at addressing complex neurological and neurosurgical issues.
  • Transition the program from a consultative service to a fully operational, independent neuro-critical care unit.
  • Assist in extending telehealth neuro-critical care services to satellite facilities across West Michigan.
  • Engage in the neurology residency program as a faculty member and mentor.

Qualifications

  • Physicians: Must be board certified in neurology or neurosurgery and board certified/eligible in neuro-critical care. If eligible, certification must be obtained within two years of the start date (unless otherwise required by applicable medical staff bylaws).
  • Possession of an active Michigan medical license (or the ability to secure one).
  • DEA license required.
  • BLS certification (must be maintained).
