We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician at our main campus in Florence, South Carolina. Our organization, a nonprofit healthcare system with seven hospitals, is committed to enhancing the health of individuals across an 18-county referral area, serving over 1 million patients.
Our esteemed residency program, recognized nationally, provides community-based training within a 517-bed regional referral medical center, which includes a NICU, labor and delivery unit, and an open ICU.

Faculty ResponsibilitiesThe role of the faculty member includes:
- Teaching and supervising residents in both outpatient and inpatient environments
- Providing direct patient care at the Family Medicine Center
- Conducting didactic sessions
- Developing curriculum
- Mentoring residents
- Engaging in scholarly activities
Faculty members are allocated protected administrative time each week to support their responsibilities.
Additional DetailsWhile prior residency leadership experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Faculty will lead the inpatient teaching service for one week each month, participating in a rotating weekend call schedule alongside our faculty and community physicians. Outpatient clinic hours are from 8:15 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, in a bustling clinic that includes embedded procedures, OMT, and OB services. Maternity and prenatal care are optional.
