Quick Facts: Location: Christiansburg, VA Start Date: 02/01/2026 End Date/Duration: Rolling / As needed Shift: 12-hour shifts (day/night rotations) Hours/Week: 36-40 hours Employment Type: Locum / Temporary License/Certs: Medical license in VA, Board Certified/Eligible in OB/GYN Experience: 3+ years of OB hospitalist experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $214.50 per hour Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements Paid sick time (per applicable laws) Dedicated 24/7 support team from VHS What You’ll Do: Provide emergent OB/GYN coverage, including labor and delivery management Collaborate with in-house anesthesia and back-up physicians for seamless care Manage approximately 72 deliveries per month Respond to emergent GYN situations when needed Support a hospital with a Level 3B NICU at the main facility (not onsite) Work with a team that includes other OBs, general surgeons, and ER doctors Cover approximately 600 assigned patients plus additional unassigned cases What You Need: Active Virginia medical license or eligible to obtain one Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN Minimum of 3 years OB hospitalist experience Strong clinical judgment and team collaboration skills About the Assignment: This is an exciting opportunity at a leading healthcare facility in Christiansburg, VA, to provide essential OB hospitalist services in a busy, supportive environment.
