Job Description
The Premier Group is seeking a Pipefitter for a Texas project. The Pipefitter is responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems used to carry gases, liquids, chemicals, and other materials for industrial, commercial, or residential applications. Work includes fabricating pipe supports and fittings, welding or joining piping components, and ensuring installations meet blueprint specifications and applicable codes.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine layout and material requirements \n
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe using hand and power tools \n
- Assemble and install pipe sections, fittings, valves, and supports according to specifications \n
- Weld, braze, or solder joints as required (or coordinate with certified welders) \n
- Test piping systems for leaks and proper pressure using appropriate testing methods \n
- Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems where applicable \n
- Select pipe and materials appropriate for the application (carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, copper, etc.) \n
- Collaborate with other trades (electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs) to coordinate installation sequencing \n
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and jobsite-specific safety protocols \n
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition \n
- Complete accurate daily reports, timesheets, and material usage logs \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pipefitting apprenticeship program preferred \n
- 2+ years of pipefitting experience in industrial, commercial, or construction settings \n
- Working knowledge of pipefitting codes and standards (ASME, local plumbing/mechanical codes) \n
- Proficiency reading blueprints and technical drawings \n
- Ability to operate pipe threading, cutting, and bending equipment \n
- Basic welding skills a plus (or relevant certifications: certified welder, journeyman pipefitter card) \n
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices; OSHA 10/30 certification preferred \n
- Physical ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions \n
- Valid driver's license; reliable transportation to jobsites \n
