Job Description

Tradesmen International is currently hiring experienced Bridge Welders for projects located in and around Olean, NY. This is a full-time opportunity with a pay rate up to $35/hour for less than 10 years of bridge fabrication experience up to $45/hour for 10+ years of bridge fabrication experience plus $125/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

\n
    \n
  • Fitting & assembling structural bridge components
  • \n
  • Layout & fit beams, plate grinders, stiffeners, diaphragms, splice plates & other structural members
  • \n
  • Measuring, marking & aligning heavy steel
  • \n
  • Operate Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) equipment
  • \n
  • Set and monitor wire feed, voltage, travel speed, and flux coverage to maintain proper penetration and bead profile
  • \n
  • FCAW welding
  • \n
  • Perform multi-pass welds
  • \n

Requirements:

    \n
  • Must have welding / bridge fabrication experience
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Execute welds standards in compliance with AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code
  • \n
  • Ability to consistently maintain weld quality that meets visual and NYS DOT requirements
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Must pass various weld tests
  • \n
\n
