Williams Learning Academy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our licensed childcare center in Milwaukee, WI. We are looking for a dependable, professional individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities
• Manage daily classroom operations and maintain a positive learning environment
• Ensure compliance with Wisconsin DCF 251 licensing regulations
• Supervise, support, and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff
• Maintain accurate classroom records and documentation
• Foster positive relationships and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
• Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment

Qualifications

• Must meet Wisconsin DCF 251 Lead Teacher requirements
• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center required
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage classroom routines and supervise staff effectively
• CPR and First Aid Certification required, or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Passion for early childhood education and child development
