The Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for the Charlotte Health Care Center. \n8:00 am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday
\nCall Coverage: At home, phone calls 10-12 days per year.
\nMust have 2+ years of leadership and supervisory experience.
\nOptional weekend inpatient coverage for additional pay

Requirements:
\n- \n
- Board Certified/ Eligible \n
- Have a full, unrestricted medical license in any State. \n
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. \n
- Residency Training must have been completed and approved by the secretary of Veteran Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. \n
- US Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens according to the VA Policy. \n
- Must have 2 years of leadership and supervisory experience. \n

Compensation & Benefits Package:

- Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. (Sign-on Bonus): Authorized \n
- EDRP Authorized-This position is eligible for Education Debt Reduction \n
- Paid Time Off: 50 55 days of paid Time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year, and possible 5-day paid absence for CME). \n
- Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. \n
- Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement). \n
- Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. \n
- CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). \n
- Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. \n
- Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting. \n
