Job Description
Requirements\n
- \n
- Provide psychiatric supervision and administrative direction to clinical and support staff, including advanced practice practitioners. \n
- Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments & follow-up assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with mental health conditions. \n
- Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient. \n
- Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services. \n
- Interpret test results to diagnose any health issues and provide feedback to patients. \n
- Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance. \n
- Prescribe medications when clinically necessary. \n
- Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan. \n
- Communicate with, and make referrals to, PCPs and/or specialists, as appropriate. \n
- Provide services at community partnership locations. \n
- Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits. \n
- Other duties as assigned. \n
Supervisory Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- This position will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to Advanced Practice Providers (nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants with a collaborative physician agreement if required) for practice, as well as general clinical mentorship and guidance. \n
- Serve as a clinical escalation point for APPs and other medical staff within the practice. \n
Education and Experience:
\n- \n
- Must possess an active & unrestricted license to practice in the state(s) of practice (SD). \n
- Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in the state(s) of practice (SD). \n
- MD or DO degree (or international equivalent) \n
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency \n
- Adult or Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist \n
- Board Certified Psychiatrist \n
- Eligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare. \n
- Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness are required. \n
- Computer literate and experienced with Electronic Medical Records. \n
