Job Opportunity: Family Medicine Physician

We are looking for a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program at a regional medical center located in Denison, Texas. This full-time position emphasizes academic involvement, allowing you to mentor and educate future physicians while balancing a fulfilling clinical practice in a collaborative and supportive teaching atmosphere.

  • Support / Care Team: Collaborate with the Program Director, faculty physicians, residents, and an interdisciplinary team
  • EMR / Technology: Utilize modern EMR and teaching resources
Responsibilities
  • Deliver outpatient and/or inpatient Family Medicine care while overseeing residents
  • Act as a clinical instructor, engaging in didactic sessions, curriculum design, and resident education
  • Assess resident performance and assist in recruitment initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to institutional and accreditation standards for the program
  • Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to program development
  • Document patient care using the hospital's EMR system

Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Active or eligible Texas medical license
  • Preferred experience in teaching, mentoring, or academic medicine
  • Obstetrics experience or fellowship training is a plus
  • Interest or experience in prenatal care and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is advantageous
