Join Our Team as an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist who has completed fellowship training. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a leading community-based Advanced Heart Failure Program in Iowa, where you will collaborate with a dedicated team of specialists to provide cutting-edge therapies and foster innovation in heart failure management throughout the region.

Opportunity Highlights
  • Be part of a team consisting of 4 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider.
  • Manage an average of 13-17 patients daily in the clinic.
  • Participate in a call rotation of 1:4 weeks.
  • Utilize the recently approved Barostim procedure.
  • Engage in implantable fluid monitoring, LVAD management, echocardiogram interpretation, nuclear medicine, and various cardiac imaging/testing.
  • Each provider will have access to two exam rooms.
  • Opportunity for shared outreach clinics once a month.
  • Serve a tertiary service area with a population of 1.5 million.
Opportunity Details
  • Base Salary: $624,834
  • Recruitment incentive of $75,000
  • Malpractice insurance coverage with tail coverage included

Founded in 1970, our heart center is among the largest cardiovascular practices in the United States. Recognized as one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals by Fortune/IBM Health, our center comprises 44 physicians and provides a wide range of services, including General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Preventative Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease.

Our accredited Cardiology Fellowship program hosts 8 fellows and operates from 8 primary office locations, serving over 15 outreach facilities across Iowa. With an active clinic research department, we participate in major STS registries and conduct more than 10,000 cardiac interventions annually.
