Compensation and Shifts

Starting Rate: $45.00+

Available Shifts:

  • Days - starting at 10:30 AM
  • Evenings - 3 PM to 11 PM
  • Mids - 12:30 PM to 11 PM
  • Shifts available in 8, 10, or 12-hour formats

Hours: Options for 24, 30, 36, or 40-hour work weeks, with additional compensation for shift differentials.

Job Overview

This position involves utilizing various imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. The role primarily focuses on performing CT scans, employing CT technology to capture images of internal organs, bones, and soft tissues. As a clinical technologist, you will apply specialized knowledge and skills acquired through vocational education, training, and experience, primarily in patient care and scientific/laboratory settings.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT).
  • CT Certification (ARRT) or (NMTCB).
  • Eligibility for Radiologic Technologist state license.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in X-Ray.
Key Responsibilities

The following duties outline the general nature of the work and are not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Independently conduct CT scans on patients as per established policies and radiological standards.
  • Confirm patient identity and the procedure to be performed.
  • Provide clear and precise instructions to patients.
  • Ensure correct imaging protocols, steps, and scanner parameters for each patient.
  • Maintain safety for both patients and staff regarding CT equipment.
  • Obtain IV access and administer IV contrast as required.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training.
  • Perform quality control checks on equipment and devices as necessary.
  • Coordinate with other staff and departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage supply inventory and request orders when needed.
  • Keep work areas clean and functional in accordance with DPH and The Joint Commission standards.
  • May mentor students and assist new technologists.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
  • Hearing and visual acuity sufficient for performing examinations and monitoring patients.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of radiologic equipment, examinations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Capability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
