\n Merit Health Wesley is seeking a Medical Director for its Hospitalist Program at a 211-bed facility. This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide a high-performing inpatient medicine team within a collaborative, hospital-employed environment focused on quality, efficiency, and patient-centered care. \n

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Provide clinical leadership for the hospitalist program
    • \n
  • Oversee inpatient care delivery and support physician team performance
    • \n
  • Ensure adherence to hospital quality metrics and patient safety initiatives
    • \n
  • Participate in clinical care including admissions, rounding, and inpatient management
    • \n
  • Perform and support procedures including: \n
      \n
    • Central line placement
      • \n
    • Intubations
      • \n
    • Code response and resuscitation management
      • \n
    • \n
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and specialty services
    • \n
  • Support scheduling, workflow optimization, and program development
    • \n

Qualifications\n

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
    • \n
  • Prior hospitalist experience required; leadership experience preferred
    • \n
  • Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
    • \n
  • Strong procedural skills (lines, intubations, codes)
    • \n
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-building abilities
    • \n
