Our organization is on the lookout for a skilled, fellowship-trained Interventional Neurologist to enhance our thriving practice in Des Moines, IA. This position presents a chance to develop our IV neurology service line within a supportive team, backed by a robust referral network catering to a population of 1.4 million. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a dedication to program expansion, excelling in a collaborative environment.
Position Highlights- Join a dedicated team of 12 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers.
- Thrombectomy call coverage is set at 1:3.
- Manage over 1,000 stroke cases annually.
- Perform more than 160 thrombectomies each year.
- Contribute to the establishment of a new, specialized Neuro IR Suite.
- Access to onsite support from dedicated Neurohospitalists and Neurosurgery teams.
- Engage in elective aneurysm cases.
- Opportunities available for teaching residents and medical students.
Our integrated multispecialty practice, MercyOne Ruan Neurology, boasts a comprehensive statewide referral network. Our team of 12 neurologists and 4 advanced practice providers addresses a wide range of neurological conditions across various subspecialties. We are recognized as a Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, with opportunities for outreach and tele-neurology services. Our practice collaborates closely with Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Pain Medicine. Additionally, we serve as faculty for residents in Family Medicine, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine, as well as medical students from Des Moines University.
Compensation and Benefits- Base Salary: $710,456
- Recruitment incentive: $150,000
- Relocation assistance of up to $15,000
