Scranton Counseling Center, the area's largest integrated behavioral health provider, has openings for Certified Peer Specialists.\n

\nAs a Certified Peer Specialist, you will use your lived experience with mental illness, recovery, and your training to support adult consumers on their unique and individual journeys to recovery. You will work alongside consumers, providing guidance, advocacy, and support that fosters empowerment and self-determination.\n
\n
\nQualifications\n
\n
\n* *Lived Experience:* Self-identified individuals with a mental health diagnosis who have reached a point in their recovery where they can positively support others.\n
\n* *Age:* Must be 18 years of age or older.\n
\n* *Training: *Completion of a two-week Certified Peer Specialist training course offered by an OMHSAS-approved vendor.\n
\n* *State Certification: Must hold a current Pennsylvania state certification as a Certified Peer Specialist.*\n
\n
\n*Scranton Counseling Center offers a comprehensive fringe benefit program for full time employees to include employee healthcare, eye and dental coverage, guaranteed 401(k) contribution, sick/annual/quarterly personal days/holiday pay including birthday, mileage reimbursement, long-term disability, life insurance, and continuing education and tuition reimbursement.
