Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician specializing in Pain Management to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team at the Pain Care Clinic located in Farmington, Maine.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and managing chronic pain conditions through various interventional techniques, aimed at enhancing patient comfort and overall quality of life. This physician will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to create and execute tailored pain management strategies for each patient.
ScheduleThis is a full-time position in the Pain Clinic, requiring 40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose patients suffering from chronic pain, including musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and other pain syndromes.
- Conduct a range of interventional pain management procedures, such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, and radiofrequency ablations.
- Create personalized treatment plans that integrate both interventional and non-interventional methods, including medication management, physical therapy, and psychological support.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, psychologists, and anesthesiologists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to pain management.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in interventional pain management techniques and technologies.
- Educate and counsel patients about their pain conditions, available treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and current patient records, including documentation of procedures, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Engage in continuing education and professional development to enhance expertise in pain management.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, including HIPAA, while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Maine (or the ability to obtain one prior to starting).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Physiatry.
- Completion of fellowship training in interventional pain management techniques.
- Active and unrestricted DEA license (or the ability to obtain one prior to starting).

- The annual base salary for this role is $290,000.
