Unit Overview
\n Our PACU and Pre-Op units prepare patients for and support their recovery from a wide range of surgical procedures. Nurses here provide critical care during both the pre- and post-anesthesia phases in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Position Summary
\n This role leads the nursing team across both Pre-Op and PACU to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput, excellent clinical outcomes, and a supportive work environment.
\n
Main Tasks
\n • Oversee patient flow and staffing assignments across PACU and Pre-Op
\n • Mentor staff and provide real-time clinical support
\n • Ensure compliance with safety and anesthesia recovery protocols
\n • Support orientation and training of new hires
\n • Serve as liaison between surgical services, anesthesia, and nursing
\n • Contribute to department metrics and quality improvements
Qualifications \n
Required:
\n
\n - BSN required
\n - RN license in DC or eligibility
\n - BLS and ACLS (AHA)
\n - 2+ years in PACU or perioperative nursing
\n
\n
Preferred:
\n
\n - CPAN or CAPA certification
\n - Leadership experience in a surgical setting
\n
\n
