\n Position Overview\n
\n
\n We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Welder for a short-term project in the Salt Lake City area. This role is focused on repair welding only. The ideal candidate will be a top-tier welder with strong experience in GMAW-CV MIG welding and the ability to read and interpret basic structural blueprints. We are specifically looking for a qualified welding professional who can perform high-quality repair work safely and efficiently.\n

\n Key Responsibilities\n
\n
    \n
  • Use GMAW-CV MIG welding techniques to complete structural repair work
  • \n
  • Read and interpret basic structural blueprints and welding instructions
  • \n
  • Perform welding work with attention to safety, quality, and consistency
  • \n
  • Complete repairs according to project specifications and timelines
  • \n
  • Disconnect basic electrical components prior to welding, as needed, to protect sensitive electronics
  • \n
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and welding best practices
  • \n
  • Coordinate with onsite team members regarding bus availability, staging, and repair flow
  • \n

\n Required Qualifications\n
\n
    \n
  • Current welding certification required
  • \n
  • Strong experience with GMAW-CV MIG welding
  • \n
  • Ability to read and understand basic structural blueprints
  • \n
  • Experience performing repair welding on vehicles, buses, heavy equipment, trailers, or similar structures
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of welding safety procedures
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and produce high-quality welds with minimal supervision
  • \n
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to complete work within project timelines
  • \n

\n Preferred Qualifications\n
\n
    \n
  • Experience welding on buses, transit vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or fleet equipment
  • \n
  • Experience with steel welding
  • \n
  • Familiarity with MIG, ARC/stick, and TIG welding
  • \n
  • AWS or equivalent welding certification strongly preferred
  • \n
  • Prior experience working around vehicle electrical systems is a plus
  • \n

\n Compensation\n
