A Facility in Virginia Is Seeking a Locums Gastroenterologist

This role involves:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 5 PM, focusing solely on inpatient care.
• Patient Load: Managing a GI census of 20 to 25 patients daily.
• Consultations: Conducting 8 to 10 new consults and 10 to 15 follow-ups each day.
• Procedures: Performing 2 to 5 procedures daily.
• Support Team: Collaborating with 1 to 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), 1 fellow, and 1 resident as part of the inpatient team.
• Required Skills: Proficiency in upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG placement, and additional procedures. Note that ERCP is not a requirement.
• On-Call Requirements: No night or weekend on-call duties.
