Position Details- Job Title: RN - Pediatric
- Department: Med Surg - 4N
- Employment Type: Regular
- Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, 36 hours per week (7 PM - 7 AM), with every third weekend required
- Sign-On Bonus: Discuss available options with your recruiter! Note that a two-year service commitment applies to external qualified candidates only.
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with pediatric hematology/oncology is advantageous.
- Shift Differentials: Available for night and weekend shifts
- Location: Our Pediatric Hospital
The RN will deliver direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and oversee patient care plans, ensuring accurate monitoring, recording, and communication of patient conditions.
- Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing orders effectively.
- Evaluate and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school or equivalent educational background for licensing.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
- Regularly use speech for effective oral communication.
- Constantly stand and walk.
- Frequently lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Engage in frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry.
- Utilize vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.
- Employ smell to identify and recognize odors.
- Use hearing to receive oral communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.
- Occasionally lift and move objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
- Occasionally assist in lifting/moving patients.
- Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and perform repetitive movements with hands and legs.
- Rarely engage in crawling or running.
