Competitive hourly rate of $245.90 with holiday premium pay (1.4x) 3-month assignment with flexible night shifts (19:00-07:00) on a 12-hour shift schedule Work in a supportive environment at a rural critical access hospital, making an impact with limited onsite specialty support Quick Facts Location: 1 Hospital Road, Oak Bluffs, MA 02557 Start Date: 09/01/2026 End Date: 12/01/2026 Shift: Night 3x12-Hour shifts (19:00-07:00) Hours/week: Approximately 36 hours/week Employment Type: Locum Tenens Licensure/Certs: Massachusetts State License, ACLS, DEA, BC in Emergency Medicine (required) Experience: Minimum 1 year in Emergency Medicine Pay & Benefits Hourly pay of $245.90, with holiday pay at 1.4x Weekly pay schedule via Direct Deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time according to applicable laws Travel and licensure reimbursements when applicable Accommodation provided; travel options include driving or flying (ferry included, rental car capped at $65/day) What You'll Do Provide emergency medical care to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics (~14% of volume) and general adults Maintain patient records using Epic EMR software Manage approximately 2.5-3 patients per hour in a 25-bed ED setting with an average census of 20-24 patients per day Collaborate with a small team in a rural community hospital, supporting patients with limited onsite specialty services Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety standards during your shift What You Need Required: MD or DO with BC in Emergency Medicine MA State Medical License ACLS certification DEA registration At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience Preferred: Experience in rural or community emergency settings Willingness to work night shifts About the Assignment This opportunity is at a reputable rural critical access hospital that serves a diverse patient demographic.
