Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive medication management for oncology patients, including lab test ordering, therapy selection, and adverse event management.
  • Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols for accuracy, dosage appropriateness, and patient safety.
  • Provide education and support to patients and caregivers on treatment plans, chemotherapy side effects, and medication adherence.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff during clinical rounds to optimize treatment decisions.
  • Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug management, and contribute to the development of institutional oncology guidelines and protocols.
Desired Qualifications
  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy degree required.
  • Eligibility or ability to obtain California pharmacist license.
  • Completion of PGY2 residency or fellowship in oncology, OR PGY1 plus at least 3 years as a clinical oncology specialist, OR 5 years of clinical oncology specialist experience.
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical expertise beyond staffing roles, with a focus on oncology care.
