\nAlthough smaller in size, this unit mirrors the patient complexity and clinical expectations of our MPCU/CPCU units, making it ideal for nurses seeking stepdown-level experience in a more close-knit setting.\n Position Details:\n\n

Qualifications:\n- \n
- Higher acuity than traditional Med Tele units \n
- Equivalent in clinical complexity to MPCU/CPCU, but in a smaller, more intimate unit setting \n
- Strong exposure to cardiac and respiratory conditions requiring close monitoring \n
- Excellent steppingstone for nurses interested in stepdown or critical care pathways \n
- \n
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) \n
- Chest pain (pre-procedural monitoring prior to surgery/intervention) \n
- Patients requiring high oxygen support \n
- Cardiac and respiratory conditions requiring continuous telemetry \n
- Overflow from SPCU (surgical cardiac patients) \n
- \n
- Primarily Emergency Department admissions \n
- Some direct admits (not requiring ICU level care) \n
- Occasional post-operative admissions \n
- \n
- Short stay unit with rapid turnover \n
- Approximately:\n
- \n
- 50% discharge to home or skilled facility \n
- 50% may transfer to higher or specialized levels of care if needed \n

- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a telemetry setting \n
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and clinical changes \n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans \n
- Manage patients with moderate to high acuity needs \n
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions \n

- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). \n
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. \n
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. \n
